Financial Assistance for Meeting Tougher Compliance Requirements and New Legislation

Information security, data protection and fraud prevention are key issues for all organisations that handle information – in whatever form. Furthermore, the economic downturn is fuelling record levels of data theft and most organisations are ill-equipped to defend themselves. The good news is that you and your staff may be eligible for training grants that will address your personal and corporate requirements.

Some key reasons why this offer should be accepted.

  • Simple mistakes in data security could put many organisations out of business. With potential fines of up to £500k and a significant amount more to rectify the error, many organisations couldn't survive the attentions of the Information Commissioner who has pledged to clamp down on lack of compliance.
  • Scotland has been identified as the e-crime capital of the UK (Source: Crimes Against Business 2008). In the first 6 months of 2009, reported fraud cost the UK £960 million. If you are not trained in the correct procedures for investigating fraud and e-crime, you may lose insurance compensation and your case for pursuing criminal convictions against the perpetrator can be destroyed.
  • New legislation means that parents have the right to work from home.  Employers are responsible for ensuring full compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and may be fined for security breaches by home-workers.
  • Our training materials demonstrate how you can save money through enhanced fraud prevention, reduced risk of share price volatility and improved supplier relationships.

The E-Security Exchange is the recommended supplier to the Customer Contact Association and our materials are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland. We offer flexible online training products that have been prepared by some of the UK’s most highly qualified Information Security Experts. Our customised programmes can include workshops and training premises.
